Should I concentrate my skill points into one mastery, and later spend some on my second or try to be even as much as possible?

At first I had the feeling that if I spent points in both evenly, I would be stuck with the first 2 or 3 rows for a while and I just didnt know if that could do it. Then I thought may be I should spend points in one mastery only until I have all the skills I want and then spend points on the other mastery later.

Maybe both way of doing are effective, and if you feel like its the case, which was is easier? Or I should say enjoyable since sometimes, having acces to the higher level skills as quiclky as possible gets you better skills and more funz :D

No one?

Then can anyone tell me how he used his skills points when he played the game?

e/ not necessarily talking about the masteries you took, but how you placed the points in the masteries

It is really ok either way, if you like your main tree more then keep putting points in it. The way I usually did it was I would unlock my second mastery right away, and I'd usually max out one of the lower tier skills(because a lot of the lower tier skills are very very useful).

Say for example I was playing as a Conqueror(that's defense and warfare mixed together), and I started off with defense. When I was high enough level to get warfare unlocked, I'd max out Onslaught ASAP. As far as after that, I really leveled whichever skill tree by the one I needed the stats from the most. Every time you put a point in one of your skill masteries(ie defense or warfare), you get HP, str, dex, etc bonuses. That generally was the way I did it, just by which stats I needed the most so I could get higher level items ASAP. If you have good items lined up, I'd suggest just putting a point here and there into the actual skills, and putting the majority of your points into the actual mastery level up so you can get the stat boosts to get those new weapons and armor earlier. If not, I'd just level up like normal and put points in to whatever skills you like.

Oh, another thing I'd do: If I was just playing normally, I'd often put one point into a mastery level every time. So out of every level up, I'd dedicate at least one to go into one of my masteries, and the other two could go into a skill. I feel like that is a really balanced way to level up, because you get both good stat and skill boosts.

I wouldn't worry about getting the highest skills unlocked as quick as you can. It's not like diablo where you just spam one move over and over lol. The game is slower paced and you'll be using a variety of skills to survive. IMO, a lot of the highest tier skills aren't that great anyways, just 1 point would be good enough for a use every now and then.

What kind of character are you building btw? Sorry for the long rant post lol.

Haha dont worry about how long your post is :P

The first mastery I took is Earth since I just wanted high damage and explosions :P Then I picked Nature as my second for summons and healing. For now, I concentrate on Earth and only put points into Regrowth from the Nature mastery. Its doing pretty well even though I am only in Act 2.

Well since you are a summoner, I'd put some points into wolves in nature, they are really useful. I've never played summoner myself, but I have played Champion(that's warfare and nature), and wolves are a huge help. They make the game so much easier, not only because of the damage they can do, but because they make awesome bait and soak some damage lol.

If you are playing vanilla without any mods, staff users dominate at the end with ternion. You can go back later and unlearn skills, but you can't unlearn masteries.
Play through once then try out some of the bigger mods, some change the map, others change the skill system and with a little work they can be combined.

Ya I wasnt too worry about skills since then can be easily respec. But masteries had me thinking a little more.

I think my build is doing fine right now (at the beginning of the second act). I will see later if something ends up being more viable.

fuck regrowth, heal with pots  also wolves tend to get raped on normal a LOT, especially act 3 and 4. on epic and legendary they are much much better and you will NEED them as tanks. try to get 2 wolves at least, then go for earth for damage. as epic starts, invest in wolves cause they start to fucking own then :D (max call of the wild and strength of the pack)

Another question: Is Earth enchantment worth it? Since I read it boosts fire based skills too, I thought it would be nice to put points in it. I'm not too sure if its worth it in the late game though.
