What I'm searching for is:

Something in style of Diablo 2 with the hardcore mod (When you die you have to startover)

But just give me some good MMO RPGS

Diablo isnt a mmo is it? i thought mmo's were crappy games like world of warcraft, rift, old republic an such.
What ever you do, dont get world of warcraft. Its boring as all hell, well it probably gets better when you level your guy up an get to pvp'ing.
But leveling your guys is boring as f'ing shit. Same boring quests were you gotta collect 10 dog meats over an over an over an over.
Boring piece of shit that game, stay away. oh an you gotta pay to play. you'll find yourself not playing for most the month an the months over already
an you gotta pay again for nothing. of course they do have private servers, but i didnt think there as good as the retail server.

I played these other diablo style action slashers before:
Sacred - not sure if it has a hardcore mode.
Torchlight 1 - no multiplayer but has hardcore mode.
Diablo 1 - no hardcore mode i dont think.
Titan Quest - cant remember if it has hc mode.
Baldurs Gate 1 - the console version. but the pc version is better. console version is hack n slasher.
Dungeon Seige 1 - you get a party like i think 4 or 6 characters. i never completed this one.
Dungeon Seige - Throne of Agony on psp, didnt get far into it.
Sacred 2 - didnt really play much yet.
Nox - also didnt get too far into it.
i cant remember what other diablo style type games i played.

But i'll tell you this, none of those games are as good as diablo 2.
Well, diablo 1 is ok but i liked 2 better.
i'd say stick to diablo 2. untill diablo 3 is out.

oh. i forgot to mention. Try Guild Wars, i think its better then w.o.w.
Its not like a regular mmo were you go out into the world an you can see players everywhere.
You get a party of i think 8 an when you leave town its just you an the other 7 guys.
The only times you see other players are in all the towns/outposts. and its free to play but you gotta buy the game first.
i played it to death already tho same with diablo 2, now im waiting on diablo 3 or guild wars 2 whatever one is out first.

star wars has EA on it... makes me sick
bioware could have done so much better...

have you played it? the old republic i mean. i wanted to play it but after playing world of warcraft (i hated it) now i dont want to play those types of games.
especially if its pay to play.

Everquest 2 is a ton of fun and FTP now (or p2p with more shit unlocked)
Lots of fun, lots of classes, and a reasonable amount of people playing

i haven't... just heard a lot of complaints about bugs, doesn't surprise me with bioware's work and EA funding the damned thing... doomed to failure due to lack of updates, The good news is, it is a solid temp MMO if you need one... the lore is solid, the grinding is broken up with space battles and there is a lot to do (ofc this is just what i've heard from customers / co-workers ofc).

but EA has a track record that noone should ignore until its proven wrong, they have next to no loyalty to thier games

If it was straight up Bioware... i feel that they would have released a buggy product, but fixed it over a realitively short period of time

This game is pretty amusing and well put together for being so off the charts... Shaiya... It offers regular, hard, and ultimate modes. Ultimate get the most points per level for stat upgrades, and they also are deleted if you die once. Hard characters get second most stat points per level but if you die you can respawn.. This game is pretty damn fun me and 2 friends played it for a while... Definitely has a death thing like you were asking for, check it out
