I'm looking for a fun multiplayer PC game that I can play over LAN with a friend. I don't care what genre the game is(it could be any type of strategy, RPG, shooter, etc), but I would rather the game be somewhat recent, coming out in the last few years.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Just an FYI, I just picked up Portal 2, Shogun Total War 2, and Dragon Age Origins. I haven't played Shogun 2 yet, but the others don't seem to have Local Area Network play capabilities, just online as far as I could tell.

I still am looking for some game suggestions though, so please do it up.

Mmmm, i'm not really into the whole zombie game craze that's been going on lately. Does that game actually have LAN capabilities though? I'd check it out if so.
