Anybody else play Titan Quest: Immortal Throne?

It's such a beautiful and deeply intensed storyline game (Greek Mythology), excellent graphics and a lot of fun for the single player mode. Typically, it's not too fun when you play it on-line though. Too many hackers and a lot of lag... etc... etc... But for single player it's even better than Diablo 2, in my opinion.

I'm starting a new Ritualist (Nature + Dream mastery) and Spellbreaker (Spirit + Warfare mastery). I love to assemble some minions and buff them up anyway I can. The Ritualist is arguably my favorite character class in the game because I enjoy the howl of the wolves, the long-ranged attacks from my Sylvan Nymph - which I like to call an Amazon that I named Joan Of Arc for the fun of it (easier to say). The extra synergies that the Dream mastery will add - mainly the Trance of Convalescence and the Summon Nightmare are huge upgrades over the original game.

I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to make my Spellbreaker yet (besides the cool deathchill aura that I will max right away), but I know the Liche King (Skeleton Warrior) will be a lot of fun to have as a minion. Even though the Outsider (Big Ghostly minion) and the Ancestral Horn (five former Greek heroes) all have a time limit on them, I know they will be incredibly useful for boss fights and tough monsters.

I enjoy this game a lot. It's the type of game everybody should walk through and experience. Listening to every NPC in each town. Slowly clearling every inch of every place. So much work was put into this game it's a shame the on-line play was so poorly constructed. But for single player I have no complaints. It can satisfy my RPG urges on the PC until Diablo 3 is released.

I too loved TQ:IT, spent many hours just going through listening to the people/quests, although I'm torn between that and Sacred 2 as far as what I enjoy more.

The online play is sadly just something every online game will have no matter what it is :(, although TQ is a bit more on the obvious end as anyone can use anything online and get it with no effort.

You're making me want to play it through again though, haha, yea, ancestral horn is very useful for places with overwhelming odds, and my favorite was always defense coupled with just about anything, even on caster oriented characters.

If you're ever interested in a more challenging kind of character, try a poison-based rogue, the traps can be fun coupled with summons or the hunting mastery.

I played this game for a while, it's a good game. If you are into D2, you'd probably like it. Yes, it does suck because at least 90% of the people online use ridiculous cheat items that makes everything a 1 hit kill(how is that even fun?).

My favorite classes were Juggernaut(Defense + Earth), and Champion(Warfare + Nature). I liked them both because I like playing what I consider "survivor" classes, rather than just insane DD. Would take me a little longer to kill, but I rarely ever died.

maybe it was just my crappy gear when I got there, but I always managed to die horribly multiple times to the monsters directly prior to the fight with the titan on mount olypmus, except for my warfare/hunting guy because of the standard+ancestors, aside from them I usually got on fine.

I've had the game for about 4 years but haven't played it enough to learn every character class. I'm focusing solely on the Ritualist and Spellbreaker right now. Just got to Egypt with my level 18 Ritualist last night. I'm trying not to die (0 total deaths). I got my heart of oak and Trance of Convalescence halfway maxed so far (6 out of 12), but now I'm working on maxing my Sylvan Nymph because her long-ranged attacks do wonders for me at the moment.

I still got to max my wolves and summon nightmare - with all of the synergy buffs. Haven't had the time to max Psionic Touch and other left-mouse (ready attack skills). And I also need refresh, sooner or later to maximize my casting timer. I'm trying to get to level 20 later on. I made a pretty good lower artifact that has stun damage and life leeching.

I just got to epic difficulty with my level 33 Ritualist. I'm wearing The Garb of the Merchant (level 30 requirements). LOL, the free items that the expansion pak came with four years ago. The mace is pretty cool looking. It somehow glows out sparkles. Hades is a tough boss but I was able to drink a lot of life pots to survive the battle. I've got to find the best items in the game. Need to finish off epic mode, and get to the legendary difficulty. I bet legendary Typhoon and Hades drop all the goodies.
