Single player on Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is awesome. Very beautiful graphics and I find it a lot of fun to thoroughly enjoy the game. Exploring the land ( even the tombs and caves ), and completing each main quest and side quest. The music played throughout certain areas of the game is breathtaking. It's not the same dead-beat music you hear in other RPG games. A lot of times it makes you feel like you're actually in the game, experiencing the legendary world of Greek Mythology.
A lot of work was put into the game. It's a shame "Iron Lore Entertainment" didn't take advantage of a smarter and smoother on-line play. It lacks the funding that Blizzard has for Battle.net, for example. This game could have easily surpassed Diablo 2 ( way better on single player ) and set the standard for Diablo 3 if it offered a better multi-player compatiblity.
Although, if you have a good friend or two to play with. You could always create a private game and play it with them on-line. This allows you to legitimately enjoy the game ( no hacks ) and it can still be like single player.
My level 23 Ritualist named Xena is kind of weak. I've died a couple times in the Gardens of Babylon. I was putting too much emphasis on making my minions stronger - wolves, Sylvan Nymp and the Summon Nightmare. The synergies and skill investments for the type of character I was making doesn't pay off until much higher levels. I would need to be level 50 or so before I see the type of results I'm looking for.
I'm about to start a brand new character, perhaps a Prophet - Dream + Storm Masteries. It offers a chance to be a unique melee character that deals out a lot of elemental damage, electrical damage and vitality damage. Plus I'll have two aerial minions from the Summon Wisp and Summon Nightmare.
It took me a few character creations ( so many to choose from ), but I'm fairly certain the Prophet is what I'm looking for.
The Storm and Dream masteries compliment each other so well.
