I have never been able to tell if i hate or love this game.
Maybe the only reason i kept playing was its resemblance to diablo?

It's Baldurs Gate yeah.

And it rocks (well 1 does)

And no, it does not resemble D2.

The entire series is amazing. Playing a character through BG:1 -> ToB was probably the greatest gaming experience I've ever had.

But yeah, the only resemblance between the Infinity Engine games and Diablo is the shared isometric perspective.

I spent a lot of time with Baldur's Gate I + ToSC, BG II + ToB and some Mod's.

It is a great game, I enjoyed playing it very much.
Afterwards I switched to Diablo II.

Baldur´s gate is goooooooooooood

Baldur's gate was one of the greatest single player games I ever played.

BG2 was the first one that I played, followed by TOB and BG1. I beat all three, and have to say it was the shiznit.

Better than Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, KOTOR 2 (haven't played KOTOR 1 yet...). Heard Kotor 1 > Kotor 2, but from what I saw, Kotor 2 was fun but I just wished it lasted longer (30 hours to beat it and get everything pretty much... level 30 as well). The thing is, BG2 had great characterization and quests, in depth items and storyline, and a great villain build up. Hard to live up to those standards.


Really wish more games were this good and in depth :(.

i have baulder's gate, but the lack of decent multiplayer kind of turned me off of it.
