For beginners if you want Melee Classes, pairing them with Defense Mastery is a good choice (Conquerer Warfare/Defense)
Templar (Dream/Defense), Paladin (Earth/Defense) are nice Defense Mastery Chars.
Harbringer (Warfare/Dream), Spellbreaker (Warfare/Spirit) are excellent Dual Wielding Melee Classes.
don't combine mastery that don't complement each other (for example Earth/Storm is a relatively weak combination)
i actually went with the assassin.
i'm thinkin about making a templar now, but can't find a good guide for it. i heard they can be pretty damn powerful
