There's lots of rpg's i find difficult
But most difficult one i played was Suikoden 2 on my first play through
Actually its a REALLY ez game, and i played and finished it 8 times already
I'm saying this game was the most difficult one cuz that was the first rpg i played, and there was a part of the game i died countless times, i mean more than 15 times, in the part where u gotta kill Luca Blight, a boss. U need to fight him with 3 parties and then u also gotta kill him with the hero alone. Ugh it was funn =)

The 7th Saga, for the SNES. That game wasn't hard, that game was totally insane. I died in random encounters all the time, and I'm an extremly experienced RPG player. It is possible to beat it, but you need to not get unlucky. Anybody who has ever played it probably remembers the mutants tongue.gif

At the start of the game, you get to choose which character you want to be. You can later have one other one join your party. You also can end up fighting the others, and must fight at least one during the course of the story. They gain levels like you, but they gain stats at 1.5 times the rate you would if you were playing as them.

The first Alundra on the playstation. Ny god that game had some puzzles. The first time I played through it I had the strat and I got to this one puzzle I just could not get. Second time through though I beat it and that is one hard game.

Azure Dreams, for PS1. Low on content, but it dropped your level to 1 every time you re-entered the dungeon, and required that you find a specific item in order to get to leave. The only level/power progress you could make was leveling your familiars (you could only carry 5 items into the tower with you, so your limited on how many of those you bring) and those have a limited amount of magic (magic is used in every action they make, including walking, so they get 'exhausted' really fast) and in finding and powering up a weapon/shield (+1 attack or +1 defense 'sand' items to enhance your equipment.) Oh, and dieing doesnt end the game, it just kicks you into town - without all those hard-won items you'd just gotten. Still quite an addicting game though. Too bad they didnt ever make a sequil (that I know of).

EDIT: This from Wikipedia. "There is a semi-sequel, Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal, planned for US release on March 21, 2006" so.. hopefully it'll be decent eh? too bad it doesnt state what platform it'll be on. Time to dig, I guess.
