Hey I just started playing this forum based game where you take over the politics and other things of a tiny island. its pretty fun and like just got started.

if your interested here the link: http://s11.invisionfree.com/Republic_of_Artunis/index.php

here the prolong:

Quote

Have you ever wanted to live on a tropical island in the south pacific just sitting on the beach in your beautiful hammock watching the seagulls fly by as the sunsets on a perfect day. Or have you ever wanted to rule over other people and reeducate them that you are a god living among men and have them worship everything you say and do. Well, this might not be possible in a real life framework but the Democratic Republic of Artunis is an online version of everyone’s dreams as you can play as a character just relaxing on the beach or you can run as a socially minded candidate in a federal election only to crush your opponents afterwards in a brutal god-right dictatorship that only you can type out on the forum based Artunis.

The Democratic Republic of Artunis is a fifteen state republic that has just achieved independence in the year 1950 from Spanish rulers leaving behind a very ‘rustic; nation that has three main communities, Spanish, Mestio and indigenous populations with their own wants and demands of this new nation, and basic infrastructure that needs to be improved to benefit all Artunis citizens in all fifteen states. If one decides to become President of Artunis they will not only have to deal with these pressing issues but they will have to deal with foreign influences such as the United Nations (demanding free elections every four to five years), the Soviet Union demanding that the ‘proletariat’ needs have to be addressed over free-market capitalism, and then finally the last foreign influence, the United States of America demanding, political and human rights success, free market capitalism, and a small southern beach base where they can hold ‘commies’ and other threats to their security.

Democratic Republic of Artunis not only deals with Presidential life, if one so chooses to be President, but it also deals with other political and non political life and characters. For instance, if you want to run for President but your supporters were unable to stuff as many ballot boxes as the President support team could, well you can run for local (governor) races in all fifteen states or create or join a political party and run for the coveted National Assembly where you can press issues that concern you, your constituents, or even foreign interests. And if you are not into politics and just want to rest on the hammock and stare at that beautiful sunset that option is available with nearly 20 other non-political occupations to choose from in Artunis that will create an online island community and build ones RPGing skills. Also, if that does not appeal to you, we also have the option that you can create a bandit/gang or rebel group to resist Presidents and their armed forces in different conflicts over different interests that you think need to be addressed in Artunis, for instance, “The Banana War” might be interesting.

Well come check out the Democratic Republic of Artunis and see if you want to stay for a while and have a drink and have some fun, online and in your own house of course.
