Heard it was just like an 8 hour episode.  I'll give it a spin someday

I did as well.. However from what I've watched on stream it actually looks really good for it's kind. I absolutely refuse to fork out $60 for an 8hour game.. BUT once it comes down in price $30-40 range I think I will be adding this to my collection even though it isn't a JRPG.

I've actually taken a small break lately from my RPG's and have spent over a week painting all the figures for Talisman - Board game. My first attempt at doing anything like that and it was a lot of fun! Nearly 50 figures, although fun I'm glad it's over.. For my first experience in doing projects like this it was a bit much tbh. My kids and I have been loving it though!! This is a board game everyone should own a copy of. I think this weekend I'm going to play some more Baten Kaitos and hopefully beat Final Fantasy 6 for the first time! My oldest two go to their mothers for the weekend so I'll have plenty of ME time. :)

I went against my style and currently trying to beat 4 games at once. Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 13, Baten Kaitos and Chrono Trigger. All of which I've never beaten fully. Normally I stick to 1-2 until beaten. I think I bit off more than I can chew with these 4 titles.

Finish Chrono Trigger.

I've never played FF6 or Baten Kaitos, although I've read that Baten Kaitos is a Gamecube hidden gem.

Picked up FFX/X-2 HD yesterday afternoon, about 11 hours into it at the moment. Took a break to clean the house and watch college basketball. Nostalgia bomb all day. The gameplay isn't enhanced whatsoever, directions feel a little rigid (as they would with any PS2 game when you're used to PS3) but they did a phenomenal job with the graphic updates and I'm excited to handle Penance and the Dark Aeons for the first time. All in all it feels like a new game, I'd beaten it when I was 15 and really grinded it out when I was 18 or so but that's still a five year absence that's allowing me to really get into it again.

I opted for the Expert sphere grid; right now I haven't taken much advantage of it aside from putting Kamahri into Rikku's sphere path as soon as I got a hold of my first level 1 sphere key.

I was in the middle of an emulator playthrough (not the middle actually I just got valefor) I found a download for a full version of the stragety guide scanned into pdf format...it's pretty epic. PM me if you'd like it.

I would really like this if you don't mind. Planning to play the HD version as soon as I get caught up on my current games.

Update on my collection:

-- Atelier Escha Logy Alchemists of the Dusk Sky PS3
-- Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster PS3 (I own both of these original titles for PS2, but wanted to support the company and try them out in HD)
-- The Witch and the Hundred Knight PS3
-- Tales of Symphonia Chronicles PS3 (Again I own both the originals for Gamecube and Wii, but I'm supporting the company. Plus the HD remaster is appealing, I BEAT Tales of Symphonia which was just awesome, but have yet to play the second one on the Wii)

Next on list:
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE PS3 (releases april 1st) JRPG

Looking forward to playing all of these.

I'll pass on on the FF X .pdf, can easily grab it just can't be bothered messing with that many pages/zooms with my laptop touchpad. Just rocking a basic walkthrough that ensures I won't miss any items, the rest is pretty simple. Man, suck ass at the lightning dodging now, going to wait to do that along with most other Celestial weapon objectives until I'm later in the game and have Enc-None and shit.

Just now dipping out of Macalania temple, about ~18 hours in. Still baffled at the graphics and the storyline is as grasping as it was the previous playthroughs. Still can't wait for the grindy/sidequest portion of the game though.

Mostly Pathfinder, my old D&D group switched to it a year or so ago. It's fun switching games, since this groups been gaming for about 18 years as a group.
