I think I was in highschool or close to when it got popular, so I missed it.

I play the games when they come out though. Problem is that there are so many options now I check serbii all the time just to see movesets.

Are you in your mid-thirties or something? I was like 7 or 8 when it got hot in America. Think the last time I played a Pokemon was when I got ahold of my ex-girlfriend's Gameboy Color in high school; then her cousin somehow found it and deleted my file to create her own $_$ R.I.P.

I won a Nintendo DS in a bar raffle a few years ago, so I got a $4 R4 card and have played all of the DS ones. They're all good imo.

I might fuck with a newer Pokemon title once I'm done with Wild Arms 1; still haven't attempted Yiazmat in FFXII and now my homie's using the controller to play FF9 on the PS3 so I may as well mess with some emulators. Not sure where I should start, think the last Pokemon I beat was Ruby/Sapphire.

That's a pretty extensive pool of information about every pokemon, and their move pools.

I'd say Heart Gold or black/white would be a good place to start. They're the newer ones, and the games have only gotten a little more complicated, but have gotten much longer.

Duly noted, thanks. The plot's opened up a bit in Wild Arms 1 so I'm starting to get into it, it's not bad. I remember Wild Arms 2 being very well received, I played it as a kid but not for long. I'll probably start up Pokemon Heartgold once I'm done this this.



The only RPG I've been able to tolerate on a smartphone thus far is Dungeon Master (or something similar, Dungeon something) but my iPhone 4 can't really handle it all that well. It's probably more enjoyable on an iPhone 5 or a tablet.
