ATM i was running an ancient gts because i got it for $5 off of slickdeals. I'm up to 60fps, but playing some marvel heroes with my brother for a while. With emulators it's 90% processor and I'm running 2.3ghz (non o-clocked) quad core amd something something that I got for virtually nothing. I was just using it to emulate nes/snes/sega etc etc and play some blue ray rips. I'm not going to play ff on anything less than the big screen, so I dropped the $17 bucks or whatever the hell it costs to bump my emu up.


Xenoblade is the #1 rpg I've played in a really really long time. I was 100% riveted to the story about the mechon vs the humans....the voice acting is lame, but the game play and crafting are unrivaled on the wii, and can stand up to any rpg ever created imo.

Oh I'll definitely be giving it a shot. I'm just not the kind of dude that juggles multiple RPGs at one time, I like to immerse myself in whatever I'm playing. So when XII's done (that could be a LONG time, I intend to do all of the end-game hunts and whatnot) and if the X remake isn't released yet I might load up Xenoblade.

Oh, any eta on the X release? I'll be super excited for that....TBH FFX is what got me into JRPG's (at the tender age of 20)

Oh X popped your cherry? VIII was my first when I was either 9 or 10. They used to intimidate me so I'd watch my older friend play through most of a game until I felt comfortable asking my mom to buy it and play it on my own haha. My memories of X include 100+ hours spent on the stupid monster arena, catching those autistic butterflies and better yet trying to dodge those fucking lightning bolts. And the fact that I missed out on the International content so I had a 200 hour file that wasn't even "complete" really.

haha....Yeah I was stuck on Diablo 2, FPS games, mario kart, smash bros, ancient nes/snes/sega titles for my entire life until I was about a Junior in college.

I grabbed a copy of 10 for $20 because i read an IGN review that was over the moon about it, and my brother an I played it while I was home for summer for like a week straight.....Been enthralled ever since.

Shit I still take Diablo 2 seriously, no shame. I haven't touched X since I was a sophomore in high school I believe, a part of me wants to play the shit out of it but for all I know it'll release when I'm 50 hours into this emulator. I don't believe there's an ETA but I have a gut feeling they'll push for a Christmas release. Can't imagine it takes too long to re-write a few code and upgrade textures.

Ha, I still play d2 consistently too, but I prefer console games at this point in life as I'm usually not free for more than an hour or so at a time, so having a pause button is really clutch.

last game I finished was Bioshock Infinite though, so it's been a few weeks since I've gotten into console play.

Also, I completely agree on the X remake...it's been in talks for years already, what is the freaking hold up?

re-read a post up there ^^ and xenoblade > gears. That being said, I'm not nearly as into xenogears as most people...same thing as the VII love that everyone has...It's just not there for me.

Well for whatever reason, I think it was a Windows Update or something, my PS3 controller completely quit working with my PS2 emulator. Two hours later and I'm good to go again, that was just fucking weird and frustrating. Hangover gone and nothing to do, bring it on FF 12!
