download something called TQ Vault. Transfer items with that, not some caravan shit lol. Note: do not use "copy" function cause the item will have different stats. Use "duplicate". Or just move it.

You should be able to respec anyways, some towns have an NPC called a Mystic that will let you unlearn your skills.  I don't think that's an IT thing only.  I didn't think the caravan was an IT thing only either, just another NPC in a lot of towns, shows up normally on the town map.  That'd kinda suck if that was an IT only thing.

I really thought that IT gave you another act, and dream mastery, but it's been so long I can't remember lol

I will probably download that soon since I heard it let you respec masteries too (pretty convenient if I want to try multiple builds). 

Just not sure if my char will be deleted or w/e when I install this, so I will wait once I am done with my summoner.

TQ Vault is just an item transferer. you can also use it to randomly change the item stats by changing the item ID. for respecing masteries and stats, you need TQ Defiler and no, doesnt matter when you install it, defiler is pretty pro and wont mess with your chars unless you want it to. and even then it will make a backup so dont worry about defiler.
