asherons call

Best MMORPG: WoW (hard to admit, but it's a genre-defning game, by far the most complex and massive piece of software ever designed for the purpose of gaming)

shitty copy cat of asherons call.

worst game eve is WoW by far imo.

So many games fall under the umbrella of RPG, here's how I would categorize some of the greatest digital RPGS:

I still stand by my original choice of Valkyrie Profile.

However, I've recently been playing Dragon Age Origins on PC, already put a little over 20 hours on it, and I've gotta say it's one the best RPGs I've played the last few years. It's like if KOTOR and Lord of the Rings met, this is what it would be.

To me it felt like Dragon Age and Mass Effect were WAY too similar. I guess it depends if you're into sci-fi or fantasy, but I couldn't tolerate the recycled Mass Effect vibes in the first Dragon Age. Haven't touched the second one.

Oddly enough I felt like Mass Effect was a knock off of KOTOR. Dragon Age is definitely way more setup to look and feel like KOTOR, rather than Mass Effect though. It's basically just a medieval KOTOR, which is great imo because I loved KOTOR. I actually don't think it's too similar to Mass Effect, it's obviously made by the same company, but it's definitely more like KOTOR because of the fact that you have more freedom when creating your character, and your character never talks. The way the conversation flows is alittle different than Mass Effect. The conversation doesn't flow like it does in Mass Effect. There are definitely a lot of similarities between those 3 game series, but they were all made by the same game company so I wouldn't expect otherwise.

I really don't mind the similarities though, if it's a good game it doesn't bother me. It's like playing FF7 and loving it, then saying all other old PS1-ish era RPGs are just too similar.
