While I'm a huge fan of PSO( I actually still play it occassionaly on the SCHTserv even after all these years ), I wouldn't consider it close to one of the greatest ever. The game is just too limited, you go through the same limited areas over and over and over, and thee PVP sucks. Building a character and finding gear is fun, but it just gets too repetitive.
