Legend of the dragoon. I know this is a necro but that game is so damn good it's worth it.

Don't get me wrong, Grandia was alright and you wouldn't be dissapointed, but LotD has to be the game I've invested the 2nd most time into as a single-player.

I've probably played almost every RPG on the PS1 back in the day and I never liked FF7 even though everyone considers it one of the best games of all time, some people just have different tastes.

As for your question, LOD is a really damn good game, one of my favorites. I forget which grandia it was, I think it was for the dreamcast or something, but that one was really good too. The one with the guy who had a bird or something? That was the only grandia I liked.
