It's the best skill in the game. You probably won't melee much, but it will enchant your wolves to do extra fire damage, and the fire damage is a very nice boost. I wouldn't even want to play in a party without someone who had earth enchantment lol, it makes the whole party better. Same with nature and the heart of oak skill(thinks that's what it's called, the one that gives extra health).

Do you know if the online still works for this game? I've actually been thinking about picking up my old character and playing again. I never quite finished it, but I thought I had a pretty awesome build even before I started getting my good items lol.

EDIT: Nvm, answered my own question. Was able to get online. Had some weird error pop up the first time I tried to refresh the game lists, had to run the game as administrator for it to let me join an online game though lol.

Anyone wanna play online sometime?

Could be nice, but I dunno if I can since I got a cracked version and picked a random key I found on the internet (guess its working cause I never played online).

I doubt it matters, there is no online system like D2, you don't have to create an account or anything. Your use the exact same character from single player as you do in the online. And your characters aren't linked to a cd key or anything, it's whatever is stored on your PC.

Dont they have something to verify your version is legit?

playing over gameranger if u want. its like Steam, faked LAN so you dont even need a legit version. but to avoid topic closure, i am sure we all have the legit version

I highly doubt it, with all the modders and dupers and incredibly broken characters I see online I wouldn't think so. I don't think there is any sort of "system" with the online really, you just click join online, hit refresh, and it compiles a list of who is hosting a game. THQ doesn't even run the online for the game.

If you were really worried about it, you could make a backup of your game character data. I'm not 100% sure how to do it, but it could be easily googled.



Well I bought a hard copy of the game years ago, so I don't know if we'd be able to play together.

Sorry for the double post but I forgot to elaborate. The game uses an open server for online, while d2 for example used a closed server, so I don't see why there would be any problems with you accessing multiplayer.

unfortunately i tested this a few days ago. seems the game sees if some other person online uses the same cd key as you, and if that happens, you cant play at all. that means for internet play, not LAN. use gameranger, fake a LAN, and it wont matter whatsoever if the copy of the game is legit or not.

And yeah, I figured they would check key but may be I will be lucky and that key wont be used.

Something weird has happened to my caravans inventory. It's almost like the state of it never changes basically. If I take an item out of the caravan(from either the storage area or transfer area), and move it to my characters inventory, it does move. But when I reopen the caravan, the item is still in my caravan, and the item is still in my inventory. On the other side, if I try to move an item from my characters inventory to the caravan(either storage or transfer), the item looks like it moves, when I reopen the caravan the item I tried to move isn't there(it looks exactly the same as before), but I've lost the item from my inventory. Basically, the game is making me dupe anything from the caravan, but I can't put anything new in it. It happens on all of my characters, even on the custom quest characters.

Any ideas wtf is going on there? lol. It worked normally last time I played the game..
