I'm playing a single player game at the moment called Torchlight ( http://www.torchlightgame.com/ ). Its pretty much a mix of D2, champions of norrath/baldurs gate dark alliance, and believe it or not, D3. It's also moddable

I heard runic games were currently working on an online play version of this too, but currently it's single player only. still, it has a surprising amount of vanilla content and playability, and some of the mods that people have created for it are epic

Can't wait for the Torchlight online, D3 is going to be trash, hopefully Torchlight is online soon though.

yeah iv been playin alil bit of torchlight but there are too many frickin loading screens everything envolves a loader

Honestly, Diablo 2 median XL is a great game to play if you're looking for something better than D2, but like it. D2 median XL has a lot of content based on the diablo books, which i like. And the game overall is surprisingly amazing. At 1st I thought it would be just a crapy version of diablo 2, but its not! It's a totally different fresh diablo 2. It can be played with others too via TCP/IP. If anyone's interested in joining me and my friends, pm me and we can arrange something.
