terranigma is the shit. You get full control of your char and you get to do combos initiated by the keys you push. Only problem is good luck finding a rom without the glitch in the ice level

It freezes there I think.

also, mario rpg is fun as hell

Secret of evermore *plays like secret of mana, i even enjoyed it more
Terranigma *I never liked it much, though i also only played the start
Lufia 2 *very grind game, but fun
7th Saga *very grind game, but fun
EarthBound *original and honestly funny
Secret of Mana and Secret of Mana 2 *First is better
Mario RPG

Zelda:Link to the Past - some say isn't an rpg, i agree but amazing game
Brain Lord, zelda like but very solid game
E.V.O The search for eden is an amazing fun game, and someone an rpg.. very original and fun
