XENOGEARS not XENOSAGA one of the best RPG games you will ever play. Also go a bit old school and hit up Chrono Trigger 13 or so differnt endings and team attacks and..... I can go on all night but defintally give those 2 a try.

Fable and Knights of the Old Republic... both are somewhat short but good

dude wait for ff12, they have a new crazy battle system = not old anymore.

If you've got nothing better to do, and can get your hands on a Super Nintendo Emulator and the right ROM's, Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals are good games. A bit oldschool, but easier basic gameplay than alot of the oldschool games out there. :-P
