You know, I'm really the same way. Sometimes I'd rather play a game I know is gonna be good than taking a chance on something that I've only heard would be good.

The thing that was cool about Chrono Cross, was the fact that Serge had personality even though he never said a word. The other characters really brought him into the game and you could almost hear Serge talking even though he never said anything. That's what I really mean when I say they mastered the art of the silent protagonist.
