I'm trying to get a group of dnd players started. None of us has any past experience with dnd but 2 of us at least have a basic understanding of the mechanics. Its come down to me to learn how to play the game and then to dm and teach everyone else. For the life of me I CAN NOT figure out how to even create a character. Its driving me up a wall. If anyone here has any experience doing so I would like to ask a few questions.

i play. Do you just have the dungeon masters guide or do you have the 3 core books?

Monster Manual, DM Guide, Players Handbook.

I've played 3.5 a few times before, and i have the core books + some others laying around

play more then 8 years d&d or vampire the masqurate or warrhamer:P

Wow guys hey lol. I thought this thread died. Just about the same as my D&D group did... Sigh. Now we have all decided to prepare for a marathon. Talk about a jump in interests.
