ofc i mean active players and not just registered.
i know wow got around 10 million, but i wondered if there are probably f2p mmorpgs which can compete or even have bigger communities.

maplestory if you put all servers together

league of legends has the biggest online player base, it recently surpassed WoW

LoL is a MOBA though >.> dont get why people class it as an MMORPG =/

because it's an massive multiplayer online game, that is my guess. it just don't have the Role playing aspect

this is basically saying call of duty is a mmo as well, which we know is not. people consider MMO a type of a genre which you can see and play with thousands of other players on just one server. where LoL is matchmaking.

SWTOR in January had more active subs than wow did.

ofc this have never been true.. WoW just stabled 10.2m active subs this april.

and in last quaters swtor lost 400k subs ( which means it has a bit over 1m active subs. )
