I was wondering if there was some people on JSP that play or played DC universe.

I kinda wanted to know if the game was worth getting or not.

I think they are going F2P soon too.

i still play as of right now but ill be quiting for swtor yes by the end of this month they will be free to play and i think free to download. if you playing free it will be fun to level and pvp but dont think you can raid for free there a limit on how much in game cash you will carry and it wont cover repairs but if you spend $5 on the game you get a lifetime upgrade more bag slots more cash to carry but not much more. im kinda sorry i spent $ on the game fromt he start to see it go free now. i play on the ps3 side thow and the player over there out number pc players 3 to 1.

Btw star wars the old republic, im kinda scared its gonna suck a bit, its more like the star was knights of the old republic, but with multiplayer, of course its somewhat open world but, the combat system kinda suck imo, rather slow pace.
But storyline and quest based interaction is pretty epic, but thats about it.

Its an "Choices" RPG, good story and well done rpg. But thats it. Its in an open world but its all about your own quest line thingy. It will have no end-game content/raids and the pvp will/already sucks ass, its just a clusterfuck or random spells going everywhere. The combat mechanics are shit too and are slow paced as shit

Also, I thought DCU was already free too play, for 5 bucks you get premium and 15 a month you get everything.

Played it for like a month, had 2 max characters(level 30 don't know if that's changed)

The pvp is kinda clusterfucked as elendil said, but it is semi skill related as you can actually dodge/block skills by using certain abilities, and only certain abilities will hit while the other person is blocking etc

The UI is complete and utter trash, was a pretty big deal breaker for me, as it was meant to be played on a console

The environment is fun though, and the world pvp was also kinda fun, very similar to City of Heroes/villans

Nothing is funner than throwing a bus at some rando level 10 and one shotting him.

The game I was ranting about was Star Wars, which resumes into tldr: Its terrible except for the rpg elements

@ Xeno If you liked CoV you'll probably like DC universe, but i think it still has a sub + purchase fee? not worth it imo, unless you got cash to blow.

The character customization is pretty sweet though.

DCUO has been a epic fail from week 1. this game came out with almost nothing to do when you hit max level witch is 30 took me less then a day to level. dcuo had 1 very easy mode raid ready to go and it took them a while to come out with a 2nd raid once they did like most mmo's the broke the game with the update almost made it unplayable for weeks and this trend has not been broken with all there other updates most good players got sick of this fast with group and league chats going almost everyday it made forming group a real pain. and the open world content is really lacking in this game once your are fully leveld there is no reason to go into open world unless you want to find collections a useless busy body job with no real major reward if you finish a collection you get a new gear style nothing grand the better styles are to be bought with real money from there store. about 2 months ago updates for the game became real lacking with devs giving out content that was really never asked for while the content everyone wants gets shot down or put on the back burner for a later date. they tryed to give the game new life with DLC that at 1st was going to be $10 then they changed it to be free. if you try to play this game like you would wow or any other mmorpg you will find you can run out of things to real fast. as raids are a cake walk and take about 30 min to an hour to finish with no real challenge at all everything is tank and spank and dodge the lazer. the pvp int his game is always messed up when ever they try to fix one class from being over powerd they end up making another class over powerd most of the time there glitchs too that makes the pvp just not fun and the fact you can be fully pvp geared in the matter of hours makes it so your not working towrds bettering your toon over time. ive been playing from day one now i dont even have a reason to log in but once a week for 1 raid that will take me 40 min to get threw then im done. this game was given alot of hype and most the stuff they used for advertizing the game was never really in the game at all. as most real mmorpg players will agree this game has felt like pay 2 play beta sense it came out. players are droping like flys quiting this game. and now they have to make it free to get any new players. for being a mmorpg id rate this game a 3 out of 10. the game would have been epic if they gave the fans and players what they asked for and if they would have real level 30 content ready the day they turned on the servers.

as for swtor who ever said there is no end game content was wrong they have a 1st look at the 1st raid up on there page now. it shows what each players role is what the raid combat will be like to me it it seems to be on pair with world of warcraft combat and the pvp looks difrent with things like huttball that trys to turn the pvp into a goreish sports game. and they have already stated they will be adding pvp into the space combat witch then lets chose what type of pvp you like dog fights or head to head bloody brawl. i dont care if you dont like the star wars game but take my advice DCUO is a waste of time and in my case a waste of money.
