So I'm currently looking for a grindy MMORPG.
By that, I mean I want something where its quite efficient to kill stuff to level instead of having to run back and forth completing quests. This may sound weird but I REALLY dislike questing because most of the time is spent running around back and forth talking to NPCs.
If anyone has suggestions for MMOrpg that are more grinding based instead of quest-based leveling, let me know.

game-play is different than most as you will see. You can spend the next 8 years grinding trying to reach the max level and licenses on this. Co-op is the grind you would look for if you like the game-play. You can solo co-op maps. I do.

The game doesn't look bad, but without the ability to earn and keep gear every level, I think I'll get bored of the game soon.
Or is there an equipment system?

theres quests, but the quests are grinding based

and after level 65 you only get quests every 10 levels
and only 1 quest every 10 levels heh

level cap is 99 and only one person has gotten that on the new never (its been open for about 3-4 years now)

Played it back when I was like 12... How is it game play wise? Can I play it competitively without having to splurge money into the cash shop? and any classes that are specifically OP that I should try?

You keep your equipment. There are armor sets, Skin sets that are basically a second piece of armor. All sets have varying stats.

Most guns are well balanced focusing on certain stats more than the other to suit your playing style. Weapons can be upgraded with some modifications. The setup makes even a novice able to kill a long time pro in pvp making skill the winning factor for PVP.(for the most part)

You must repair gear, and you earn most of your money through Co-op maps when you complete them. This game requires quite a bit of merching to actually make progress. There is a trade board that is basically an Auction house for when you don't want to setup a shop or just don't have the time to. All I can say is this game is worth the look into. There is also a HUGE patch coming shortly including new maps and new weapons and even a new class I believe.

You will find many guns require certain licenses to use, which you must grind and add to the licenses of your choice. There are skills of choice you can obtain after requiring the points from lvl ups and license ups.

Once again, at least worth your time to check it out for a day.
