ive tried a lot, runes of magic is the closest thing you'll get to a good pvp mmorpg. lots of customization, lots of character combos (dual class system). Good overall... If theres a better game out there with this description, even i would like to know.

No free but Guild wars and Guild wars 2.
One of the two games runes of magic copied.

Guild Wars hands down is better then runes of magic (although its not free but its well worth the purchase)

Runes of magic is nice, but nothing beats DDO. I honestly can't say why...just works. Game is great, people are even better. Looks nice and simple, I just like the style. And the music....

Id really have to say Runescape, thats the game I played the longest.

Sword 2, formerly known as Sword of the New World (currently playing)

Kalonline was also good, but you need a good clan/lots of friends to really have a blast there.
