It is actually a poor move in the long run, if it is released on the pc/360/ps3 the limitations due to the console will be large. You will see things done to the game so that 360/ps3 players do not complain about the superiority of the pc version, you also have to ask will they support the consoles for a long time, if GW2 lasts for a few years (possibly more) you will be playing on a game made for a system that is 10 years old basically.
If they stagger release it to the next gen console it might not be as bad, but it still is not a long run good decision.
I agree with the long-term bit.
On the short-run, they will make more profit due to a greater number of players. But if they are having to consistently update something on the scale of an MMO cross-platforms...I can see release date pushbacks that would put even Blizzard's records to shame.
And without content being consistently updated on all platforms, whatever players that have been gained will be lost. Unless, of course, their console development team is equal in size to their PC team, which I sincerely doubt.
