You, sir... Make no sense..

And are ill informed about RPG's.

:/

Edit:  Enjoy that Korean open beta...  The game doesn't have any real names behind its title, and therefor will not spawn the playerbase it is required to keep it alive.

At least with titles such as D&D, or Diablo, you're guaranteed to have a playerbase, as these titles, and companies have been around for forever.

makes total sense, you praise ddo for having 30 years backing.

Yet it has a low player base.

Korean open beta is over kiddo, but japan is starting soon and north america in sept-november.

So what you are saying is that everyone should dismiss a new title because it is a new title, awesome logic bro props man.

Make me lol, hard. Fuckin FREE mmo section pretty much where you are making this claim when maybe a handful out of the thousands have a legitimate story from previous games..... holy fuck.

I mean legit story, not some stuff thrown together just to make the mmo, like oh so many are just to make a buck off cash shops.

I praise D&D for having 30 years of background... I praise DDO for being a very good game.

You need to read more carefully, and not get so angry over a debate. ((Fbomb dropped twice, makes you look like a moron.. :/))

Eberon itself, where DDO takes place, has only been around since the early 2000's, therefor making it a fresh setting, with a well thought out system.

I wasn't dismissing new titles at all... But it is simple... Games that have worked in the past, tend to stay strong over the years. D&D, and Diablo as examples.

/e not even going to argue, if a DnD nerd wants to assert his opinion about a bad game all the power to him.

@ op, obscurity is hard to find in a market saturated with much of the same.

Some more hints as to what you want would help..... re read you list of things and I cannot think of a single thing. Trying to fit small crowd of players with all of that is difficult.

I'll take that as a win then, as you continue to talk shit with the name calling, and just have no real arguement at all.

I have a better argument than you, but arguing with you is just going waste my time. You like DDO IDC, it isn't a great game. I'm anticipating Tera, but sadly it will fail because there was no 30 years of IRL backstory and table top game playing

But hey whats DDO playerbase? Probably too high for the OP and probably too low to call a successful MMORPG, as it was P2P RITE? then went F2P? Rite.

DDO paved the way for f2p MMO's in 2009. -- there has been dozens of MMO's that have gone f2p, following in suit.

Since 2009, there has been over 1 million player accounts/subscriptions made/increase.

If 11 million people play WoW, which is the statistic, DDO is right behind in the race. WoW is simply the biggest MMO in history. ( Based on the ammount of people who played, and still play.. You could argue Everquest started the real MMO's that we see today, but meh..)

And if you had a better arguement, why did you stop yourself? :/

WoW is at 11.4 via wikipedia march 2011.. which is most likely higher actually.

obviously a previously p2p surges in populous shortly after going f2p.... 500k a year, and it will taper from here on with emerging F2P that offer more, in a better package.

WoW arrived nov 24 2004, so that means 1.5m+ subs avg yearly that stay with it, so no ddo is not right in there.

I don't even play WoW anymore (since april) and my sub is up in 1 week, games not for me anymore.

ETC.

DDO is not what the OP is after anyways.

Which is the heart of the matter.

I agree... I havent played WoW since the third week into WOTLK.. sometime in 2008? or earlyy 2009. -- I was in a Black temple, and Sunwell raiding guild in TBC.

It also is not the game for me anymore...

To be honest though, I find that DDO shines in the areas that i enjoyed most in WoW, which was the multiplayer dungeons/raids/instances.

DDO is an instance based game... Every quest is basically a dungeon.

Again, though... I agree... But we can only offer sugestions to the op, and is what we're doing..

Did you look at Forsaken World? -- somone posted on the last page.. I actually went and looked at some gameplay/trailers, and it seems to me like a hybrid of WoW//Anime. <-- Might be cool, and what he is looking for.
