Yeah but the point being i havent spent a dime and got patron, others can as well.

Sure you can obtain patron status in game with another method that's not $$$ ( DEX )
but with all the F2P limitations it makes getting DEX likely harder unless you dish out that initial cash to get your account verified or whatever.

i'm just going to go ahead and assume you played and spent $$ on other Trion games, meaning your account is verified already.

Can someone explain how to get "Patron" status? I understand you can trade for DEX in game (50-70G).
After obtaining DEX, do you just buy some random item on the marketplace to obtain? Or something specifically? Also aren't non-patron members restricted from trades? (Only Party Trades?)


Other than that, the game is fun, enjoying it. It's keeping me away from:

Heroes of the storm
Starcraft 2
Diablo 3
Tera
Skyrim
Borderlands 2



At the moment, yeah I'm playing all of those bit by bit....Put many hours into all of them... Finally I am happy with Devilian and its enjoyable play-style.
It's worth playing, haven't seen anything of yet being P2W, seeing as how DEX is obtainable with currency... I'm not having gold problems, (Level 40 atm).
It would suck to see the game go P2W after a few weeks or months, then I would absolutely quit.
It's fun, yea another Diablo 2 / 3 / Tera Clone like someone previously mentioned, but whatever I am enjoying it. Also BOI was absolutely horrible... Game was a cluster fuck of people who had shops.

I've never once spent money on a free to play game!
And I see that people don't like Trion, i haven't played their games before so I dont know I'm sure its for good cause, but forreal the games been out for less then a week and you guys are quick to shit talk it.
Find the good in things.

the F2P restrictions mostly stop you from a single sided aspect of things.
some of which make things hard to obtain IGG to convert to DEX (no auction house/trade)

you can't sell on the auction house, but you can buy.
you can't initiate trades, but can receive them.
Can't send mail, but can receive it.
No Megahpones, can only Whisper with friends.
also can't receive Marketplace items from randoms, only friends.

it's not entirely linked to Patron status either, it's mostly about having your account verified which requires you to buy something from their shop.
it's a form of badly done bot/spammer control. (comes off kind of greedy to since they advertise it as F2P)
