ripping on UO for dated graphics (or any) and gameplay on a Diablo 2 trading site is an oxy moron.

just so ya know....

d2 plays, and looks at least 10x better then UO man...

Without a doubt Diablo's community dwarfs UO.. -- And why? It plays well.

UO is not a well built game. Again... this is coming from an old LOTHLO player... If you don't know what that is... :/

tera online visuals beat that by quite a bit.

I agree, Tera is very visually appealing...

But is the content there? Is the gameplay/combat system enough to stack up VS other mmo's?

-- Is it even out yet? :S

Guildwars 2 should be around soon.. which is also visually very nice.

There is 60? levels of content, not all of it is shown, it is going into beta for north america in sept-nov.

Also, the combat is much better.

DDO's combat system is loosely based on D&D.. Which has been being fine tuned since the late 70's.

As nice as that game looks, I'm almost positive the combat/gameplay aren't going to be where DDO is at now.

And you can't even argue it.. You've not played this game yet. :/

Korean open beta test (stress testing), so I can.

While it was laggy at times due to the stress testing the combat goes beyond what I expected, which when I saw videos I thought it would be far too complicated to have a good flow.

Also, ddo being fined tuned from a strategy board game to an mmo is not.... fine tuned.

Just try it. Don't judge a book by the cover like they say.

What?

I didn't say that the act of going from a PNP(Pen and paper) RPG --> MMO was it being fine tuned. -- The fact that D&D has been around from the mid-late 70's means that it HAS had trial, and error. Hence the fine tuneing. -- Things which most games don't get until they are thrown to the wolves.. (This game we are discussing, as a perfect example of that.)

A strategy board game? tf... :/

D&D is THE ORIGINAL RPG. Before that, we had nothing.

Its not a boardgame.. :/ Its a ruleset for a combat oriented Role Playing Game. It is the GAME in RPG.

Without D&D, Diablo would not exist, and nor would this website. <-- And thats an absolute fact.

You should really try to inform yourself before putting down the greatest RPG in the worlds history.

You, sir... Make no sense..

And are ill informed about RPG's.

:/

Edit: Enjoy that Korean open beta... The game doesn't have any real names behind its title, and therefor will not spawn the playerbase it is required to keep it alive.

At least with titles such as D&D, or Diablo, you're guaranteed to have a playerbase, as these titles, and companies have been around for forever.

Jesus christ so many 5 year old cartooned games...

I'm not intrested in dressing up a cute kid and fighting rabbits with huge cute eyes

I like it to be slightly more raw than that...

> PVP game
> Able to cash up
> preferrably not a cartooned game and preferrably with normal controles ( WASD for moving etc)
> Preferrably a quick game with less leveling

I want kickass PVP and the option to payup to get a head start or become godlike lol.

sounds like you need some forsaken world
pwi games're notorious for cash advantage
pking's pretty ruthless when you're starting out in a hated guild too.
