Think I just read that you only put items up for auction. No more player to player trading. Also auctioning requires tokens and it scales with the amount of hours you would like to auction. I really hope they revert that cause it sounds absolutely terrible.
Do you know if you can trade these tokens somehow in game? Can I buy them from other players with silver or will I have to do some shady deals and pay silver and have them paypal me cash or some shit.
Auction house uses TP, which is the Cash Shop currency. (untradeable obviously like all cash shop currency's)
Though you also have a small bank of "FREE TP" that regens over time to a limit of 5 (think it regens at a rate of 1 per 4 hours)
you can list items for 3, 24, 72, 120 hours i believe, and the prices are 2, 4, 6, 8 TP
so as a free user you can list items for a max of 24hours in combination to the max amount of market listings for a free user which i believe was like 2-3 or something.
there's a possibility these might differ on release or change with time when they get enough negative feedback.
but i think it's a decent way to combat the negative effects of goldsellers, RMT and even bots that are a part of these practices.
it hurts a bit when you can't trade but you get used to it and realize it's no different than a standard RPG.
where you fight for your gear, buy it from a shop, craft it or even get it from a quest.
this of course pretty much means that ToS won't really be a game that will utilize JSP's community trading.
outside maybe powerleveling or something.
