this is why it fails. no1 is used to it, theres no level system to it, its all free world. Just as bad as the marvel game that was free world

you could spend a little time unlocking points for GW2.

see its them people that cant adjust to it are WoW fags, all ive seen is people wanting a new style game to play and all that and if im honest the community on the game is good and i really dont see it getting worse than what it is, only better. also it gives me something to do till gw2 comes out, heck i might even play this instead of gw2 cause i really am enjoying this game.

If you're calling Rift old (not a fan of the game, but it's not old) then you're cutting the field down to a handfull of newer games. Check out Tribes Ascend, F2P with a cash store, but other than leveling faster you can't get anything good out of the store (the faster leveling for VIP and boost makes it 3x xp). Its a multiplayer FPS with a pretty good combat system. Other than that, for newer games than Rift, you're basically down to Tera, D3, and TSW.... Tera and TSW are both fun but D3 is weak at best. DDO is decent, and with a 25 level cap you can expect to run 24/7 until GW2 if you want to play endgame.... Smite is in beta and looks decent (same company as Tribes Ascend) and they have an older game called Global Agenda thats very fun but has a pretty small player base and no real economy. Another decent F2P game with a cash shop is Star Trek Online.

Ultima Online Renaissance. Very addictive game.
