ive heard that as well, errbody that does beta does PvE it seems. Though once open beta hits PvP will be going just fine im sure.

Funny you say its all about PvE, cause no MMO has kept me intrigued in PvE, swtor had me for a short while, but a short while was it. way to many side quests and bullshit to run through that made it feel like a normal MMO, cookie cutter travel x miles through Y mobs and find z items type bullshit.

It would be nice to have some fun doing PvE in a game for once, but im here for PvP only atm.


I mean...this is still present in nearly every GW2 quest. It's just masked, so it's not as obvious.

Neither of those two. There aern't any "side quests" where you go to a npc grab a quest and do something. Quests are area based (if your close to a quest it will pop up usually the quest type depends on whats going on the area recently) apart from the main quest.
Not enough players to pvp except when its all call time. 5v5 conquest ends up being 1v1 or 2v2 simply because everyone is pveing.

actually thats completely false, there are "side quests" aka WoW style questing as well as rift style events and finally full dynamic events, they've stated that very clearly. Im just hoping the dynamic events make pve interesting enough cause the rift style events got old soon.

well i've completely cleared 1-35 areas and there isnt side quests yet. If there are any probably not implemented or they are end game side quests. Also, did one puzzle dungeon and thoroughly enjoyed it.

edit: nevermind the side quests are the automatic quests that are zone based. I assumed they were different since there isn't any npc you talk to.

but do you think that 5v5 pvp got the potential to be eSport and become popular in the future? or is it far from good in your opinion?

hard to say. Its like random atm and few people playing it. If there were many groups of 5 (that had some decent pvp'ers in it) I would be able to tell better. Solo queuing without vent coordination and decent players makes it more like random arena style team composition. I hope it will be fun, popular, and become an e-sport but I can't really tell at this point.

okay, does combat feel good? from videos it looks awesome. But how is it to actually play it urself?
