It's 100% pointless to sign up using multiple emails. You are NEVER going to get multiple invites. It's by IP.

You know most proxies are known proxies and some even have the word "proxy" in their hostname.

Not to mention if anyone else used that same proxy they would just disregard ALL emails from said proxy.

Like I said earlier, too much of a pita to bother doing to possibly (more than likely) not see any reutrn.

They will be primarily selecting based on your computer rig, as said before.

The biggest reason for large tests (other than server stability etc) is to check for issues with different rigs.

By the time a game gets to public beta, its usually not really about the bugs anymore. Although finding bugs is ofc great, its more about the above, and seeing if people find glaring balance issues/breakable content etc.

As for inviting pvp guilds etc, they already did invite pvp guilds to some of their previous events and the likes. I'm sure they will again, but its likely they will stick to guilds they know from gw1/top guilds from other games with a good reputation etc if they want directed feedback from a whole guild.

Just an fyi, there are whole companies dedicated to bug testing in beta's etc. Hence why its usually not really the main objective of the public betas. (Feedback from public betas can often be more than a little overwhelming, and most people dont know how to properly report bugs and reproduce them etc)

i believe with the recent invite wave (they sent alpha testers 2 more invites i think around 3 days ago) They are done with it. Now its down to the getting lucky on the beta signup and the few invites (my guild has at least 4 more) i know that are floating around still

Myself (and guildies from other PvP MMOs) decided to ALL sign up using our guild tag (was a question in the beta signups if you had a guild and how many members). ArenaNet has said they havent passed out any Beta Keys as of yet, so am wondering if they are trying to filter out single players to attract competent guilds of pvp'rs (THey have said they want 5v5 Arena in GW2 to become an eSport)

So my question for you is, if you signed up for CBT for GW2, did you apply as a solo player, or did you list you had a guild (and did you list your preference type as Pve or PvP ) and how many members did you say you had?
