Guild Wars 2



So i wanted to setup a unified chat for the game im looking forward to immensely.

So what are people looking forward too?

Personally the following has me absolutely excited beyond belief:

Dynamic questing, i see an event happening and i just join in and do it. No talking to people with ! over there head and read walls of texts and running a mile to a location to pick up some apples for an old ladies hide. Going to be so much more immersing imo due to that fact things happen as you go.

PvP and the World v World v World setup. I mean, siege castles, mass battles, just omg. The fact that huge groups can take over keeps and castles, and yet the single player can still help with taking out a caravan for reinforcements at another location is awesome. They really put in some good work in the WvWvW. The battlegrounds look fun also, the only one ive seen so far is a point capture BG, but with a twist of u can take control of siege equipment to assualt points, as well as destroy blockades to create other routes of travel.

Gearing, FINALLY one set of gear to do everything, i cant tell you how excited i am about this. No PvP set with Resilience or Expertise and another low health set (minus tanks) and high damage/healing for raiding and such. One set of gear will be the same for your PvP and your PvE, and all gear will be on par. You can craft all your gear, or you can raid for it, etc, it will all be on the same level. So you dont have to Raid to get geared for PvP.

Im looking to be playing a dual pistol Thief atm, but i dont know for sure till open beta comes out and i get my hands on it.

There should be a limited edition wich can be preordered and includes new expansion
Sucks to pay 40 bucks for every new expansion

can't wait for the game, it looks really promising so far



how come, since there is no subscription fee?

There is no expansions, we dont even have a base game yet, this is GW2, not GW.

Or are u referring to a big bundle you can buy outright that would include the future expansions? (i.r. $150 limited edition + all future content included)

Either way, dont see the point, no sub so just buy it.

Sucks for developers to write months of content and be expected to give it away for free

lets be real, moer than half the people are goign to spend money on items anyways.

idk bout "most" but a good number will.

And all in game items will only have cosmetic effects on your character (and maybe house and such) so w/e

yet it is not pay to win, but only cosmetic.

would be awesome to get invited, but that will be just a dream^^

yup been in closed beta since december. Im signed up for everything i pretty much can be to recieve alerts about open beta. I want to be in the first wave of open beta players so i can learn the game early, and get a nice lead when the game finally releases (i think july-ish it will release) 5ish months for closed beta 2-ish months open, then release.
