Hi guys, i dont know how many of you still play this amazing games.
After few years, Blizzard finally decide to update Warcraft III

Tomorow, 15.03.2016 new patch will be released.
So far, there is no Changelog posted but i "sniffed" some discussions.
This patch will make Warcraft III much smoother for modern PC and OS.

Would be cool if they reduced delay on BNet as well as find a way to block usage of hacks

I know they are invested in the NetEase client so probably will revolve around that, but still.

I doubt any balance changes occur in this initial patch but the Blizz employee in charge of classic games did say this is the "first step of the journey" or something along those lines

i heard some rumors about new versions of classic games - Warcraft/SC/D2 - HD
Cant wait for that

Also atm they said smth about adding this games on Battlenet client.
But we only can hope

Specific Changes & Improvements
- Throw away that old PowerPC Mac in the closet, we’ve created a new installer to support Mac 10.10 and 10.11
- Improved compatibility with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10
- Fixed a crash caused by Chain Lightning

Known Issues
- Windows 8.1 and 10 saved games are still stored in a location that requires running as system admin
- Some graphical issues with the cinematics are still occurring
- Changes to gamma settings will not take effect in windowed mode
- Cyrillic characters are still not displaying
- Disabled ambient sound while a MIDI issue is being resolved
- Mac 10.9 and earlier are not supported
- Mac build does not support the editor
