that's still going?!
basics of this is:
1.
Do you know your network gateway? if you do go to 2.
Go to start, click "run", if it's not handy, search for "run"
Type "command" and press enter
type msconfig /all
Find your default gateway.
2.
Type default gateway into your web browser, you should get a screen relating to your router (so if you use a bt router, it should be a BT page)
Type in your login. If you do not know your login, the username is almost always "admin" the starting password is usually "admin" or written on the back of your router, otherwise you may need to contact your provider.
Go to advanced (yet to see one which let you type it from the first page)
Go to Port Forwarding, type for "Warcraft III" to change from 6112-6119 in both of the boxes. (TCP UDP)
Disable the firewall, i've had it before where it's worked without doing this but on my current, i've only managed it by fully disabling it. (usually put it back on when finished hosting)
3.
Disable windows firewall (go to control panel, select it from there)
4.
Disable any other firewalls you have
5.
Host a custom game and try and get a friend to join. Should work.
6.
If it didn't, change the port from 6112 to 6113. I've found doing this change for no reason at all helps. (open wc3, options (not bnet) settings, change the port)
