I am probably the worst DotA player.

Download some replays and try to catch up style of playing

well play alot of solo games and learn the gameplay, watch some replays of the specific races vs each different race and learn how to play effective against each other, then choose a race you like to play and play that and practice, then once u get good make new acc and go rape

Wc3 is dead. Also 23890218 hackers once u get to a decent level.

Honestly WC3 is nowhere near it's prime, it'd be a waste of time to get good unless your ok playing with the same group(s) of people
WC3 takes a long time to master & learn all the counters
You're honestly better off playing SC2
