Where can I find the complete story of warcraft? (from warcraft 1 to 3)
edit: It doesn't have to be complete, just mainline. (Wikipedia isn't enough for me tho)

I have only played warcraft 3 myself, so the happenings before that are open...

Also, does the story continue in WoW and it's expansion sets?

the warcraft 3 game manual actually has alot of the lore. it tells of the first and second wars. the game itself shows a little of the past during the campaign also.

another option is to buy (not sure if you can read any of it online) a warcraft 2 strategy guide that shows how to do missions. i have had one for a while and it says the mission briefings/what you have to destroy, which pretty much tells the storyline. havent seen a warcraft 1 guide but im sure there is one. or you can always download warcraft 1 + 2 and play through it, even though the graphics are terrible.

and yes, world of warcraft continues the storyline, it takes place after warcraft 3, and each expansion continues it.

Pretty sure there are like 10+ novels about the Warcraft universe. Pretty sure you could find them online, as with virtually everything else in the world, as well.

How about WoW. Is it possible to play it in kind of "single player" mode (Have read about private games..) that doesn't need the monthly payments?

i'm pretty sure u can't solo the bosses in the dungeons... lich king and etc ^^

there are private servers you can probably use. Most of the important lore there requires a group of people to complete

So there is no way to play through the lore without group of players (aka 10e per month?)

Well, how long does it take to complete the quests? (For a player that has no experience of WoW)
