so.. i have read lots of forum to solve this problem..
at first, i got the 'unable to find installpath error' when patching my warcraft TFT from v1.21 to 1.24c... but i fixed it with the registry thing that everyone says it works..
however, after that, i got this error when i tried to patch again.
ERROR: unable to create file 'C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\BNUpdate.exe'
Access is denied.

RESULT: Prepatch failed

The solutions i tried:
1.the 1 that tell me to change BNUpdate.exe and patch.txt to BNUpdate.bak and patch.bak
2. run it as administrator as I am a Vista user..
3.reset the patch with blizz resetter.. but got this error..
Run-time error "75"
Path : File access error

all of them failed..and got back the same error 'Unable to create...'
so is there any other way i can try?? pls help.. i can only play dota v 6.61..

try uninstalling, then get newest patch from blizzards official website

it should work like that

but the problem it's that i copied the game from my old computer which means that i can't uninstall it..
downloaded from blizz before.. didn't work..
it's there any other way?

right click from the program/86 files then go to the warcraft 3 file go to main game icon and right click
see if your app is like this

Application (.exe)

if not then the path for the game is in the CD
if that is not it look to see if you have any pre-existing warcraft 3 files
if so copy and past to the path for the warcraft 3 file

or you'll need a new key to play with to install

why did you shadow the game anyway lol that rarly works

yes.. of course it's an .exe.. I was playing it all along.. but old maps..
i have to.. I couldn't find my warcraft disc.. so i just have to copy and paste it to my new com..

if there are no other ways i just have to buy the new ones and install with it..

get your CD-keys and DL from blizzstore, delete WC3 file , and install, ofc there's prob with just copy/paste
