I just started playing dotA and I was wondering what gear should I get for pugna ?

depends on how well you are doing really, but pugna relies on his decrip + damage from spells after that, so disregard any normal damage items which add a lot of +damage or attack speed, because its going to be useless. instead you should be going for dagon (upgraded later on), boots of travel, sheep stick, aghs scepter. it also depends on what type of team you are playing with, if you're playing with a team lacking disables, get a sheep stick, if you have a team which is built of tanks and initiators, you can get aghs scepter to really do some work. but in general, i've seen a lot of pugs do well with their decrip + spell + high level dagon. you can also get a shivas if youre feeling like paper (which pugna is made of) to add another slow to your arsenal, mana and armor

rush dagon, so u can decrep and dagon for 1k damage, upgrade it as far as you want. then get lots of stats

i do euls -> point booster -> travel -> scepter
luxury - guinso, linken, exc.

dagon is so useless, dont get it. agh and sheep should do the job. add in a bkb if you can.

Pugna is probably one of the only heroes dagon is viable on.
Honestly, farm a dagon before mid game.
Decrep+Dagon+NB= around 1.2k damage.
It is great for killing the agility heroes that are trying to free farm to carry.
Also helps vs other nukers.
