im new to dota & playing ranged char (sniper)

if you can post recipes for sniper & where to place each stat each level

assuming your playing in noob games id take solo middle and go:

bash, range, bash, range. bash, ulti, bash, range, range, shardx4 , ulti

items iwould start with: 1 tango, 1 heal pot, 2x branch, 2x agi slippers

i would build: Boots > elvinskin boots > Gloves (treads) > 2x wraith band > Claymore > Quaterstaff > Lothars.

then later you want to add:
Yasha > Orb > Manta
Eaglehorn > Quaterstaff > Tailsman (Butterfly)
game is probably over by then, but if not you can add mjollner / skadi combo.


if you are playing with better players id probably recommend skilling your hero differently, since if you have somebody coming to help you gang, its very useful to at least hard shard lvl 1

im not playing newb games im using channel clan gm with my friends they are all good i only one who sucks
i got 4 kills last nite though

If you are new you shouldnt be solo'ing anyways. playing in a lane with someone will provide you with support, and help u to learn how to "lane" and co-operate with your teamate. Anything from last hitting and denying (fundementals)*typo

your Skills should include lvl 1 Range Lvl 2 pellet lvl 3 Range Lvl 4 headshot Lvl 5 Range lvl 6 assasinate

You want the pellet because it slows your opponent allowing early ganks and it is the only way to utilize your mana pool early
*as i previously mentioned, Last hitting and Denying are very important... however with your added Range you should be able to harass with ease. drop a pellet and then hit them. NOTE: doing this will pull creeps and make them attack you. So be sure not to take needless dmg just to Get a few shots in.

Item build:
assuming someone else has chicken (if not always Get one)


circlets (better than slippers because as a new player both the hp helps and the Extra mana for pellets.)
one set of tangos

After this you will create (in whatever order you wish)
2 wraiths/Bracers (bracers against alot of nukers.... or if u are just taking alot of heat)
Bot or treads (subject to preference)

Lothars
difusal (if no one on your team has one or plans to make one)

normally i grab difusal first because i roam and Gank. the slow is retarded... and mana drain is pleasant. however loths may serve a less experienced player better at first.

After this it really depends on the matchup.
if you got Loths over fuse you might want Deso, or skadi

personally i go Mkb next. truestrike is too godly to pass up with snipers increased range.
