vanguard, phaseboots, dagger, shivas, hot

do this: start with stout and 3 sets of tree eaters. go roh, boots, blink, phase boots, finish vanguard, then heart.

EDIT: don't make vanguard always, sometimes hood is better.

personally i would in 90% of games, prefer bot over phase on axe.

vanguard and dagger is a must, both HoT and Shivas are nice, but pretty much situational.

NEVER go double vanguard.. i don't know who came up with that, but it sucks! Vanguard isn't a good end-game item, så why would you waste all that gold on 2?

You don't need hood actually, just massive HP&HP regen stuff VG Hot another HOT if you wish to farm a lot

Hood is more important than vanguard nowadays, especially with the massive pushing / nuker playstyle... And 2 hots is completly retarded

i normally never finish vanguard nowadays. its a fucking pub item. its completely worthless in clan wars because people pick mainly nukers.

my normal axe build: start with stout shield, 6x tango, and 1 x flask

get boots brought to you by chicken

farm either fast helm of iron will or 2x RoR

finish hood

get dagger

finish phase boot

get heart or shiva
