Any ideas how to beat Breaker/Sorc/Priest as an Orc?

why spiritwalkers? they can steal and dispel that stuff so fast



i main as orc and find far seer/tauren chieftain with priorities on spirit wolf and shockwave, respectively, work best as hero combination

raiders with demolishers and the few grunts you'll have from tier one


another good strat is to go with the same hero combo and headhunters, and sometimes with a 3-peon tower push depending on the security of your army (chain lightning + shockwave will cut down his militia so fast that you'll damage his economy greatly even if you have to retreat and fail the tower push)

the second strat is one where you can sit outside sniping with demolishers (assuming you have decent micro) and ensnare anything that comes into tower range



both require good and steady harass with as much suppression on the human's ability to expand as possible



you can always win with anything, of course, but sorceress slow will rape 90% of the orc army, and so heavy hero nukes are effective

No, no, just no.

1.) FS + TC is possible, but not effective anymore since about 2.5 years ago. Last time that was a good strategy was during patch 1.20

2.) The main problem your army will be having while fighting human casters is slow, and any army without dispell is gonna be shred to pieces by a competent human player. Spiritbreakers are the only source of dispell that orc has (shamans wont be able to keep up with sorcesses and havent been effective since more than 4 years :P)

3.) Demolishers added to your army are nice, but they die like flies if they dont have a proper army to back them up. If you dont have any dispell, you will lose your summons to priest dispell, get your army slowed and your catapults focused off. Healing scrolls and position wont make an army of pure catapults as the only damage dealer virtually worthless.

4.) You wont be able to towerpush a good human like that. Either you tower rush right at tier 2, in which case your FS will be at a maximum of level 3 and TC at level 1, which will be almost worthless and run out of mana without doing any damage. Theres no way you get up those towers when rushing with TC. If you do a delayed tower rush with level 3 TC; the human will have a full army ready or have finished teching to gryphons, both of which will fuck you up easily.

You CAN towerpush a human, but not the way you described. It only works as a counter to a fast expansion and with an aggresive second hero (bm + sh, fs + sh or fs + naga) to slow down their attempts of defending.

5.) Headhunters are very ineffective units and basically walking XP tomes without the tier 3 upgrade. Against human they are worthless unless facing 0-3 teched gryphons and cant be played without backing of an atleast level 3 shadow hunter. Basic rule of thumb is to only get HHs vs undead as a quick defense against destros and wyrms where they will have the protection of TCs stomp and you will be going tier 3 anyways.

You will hardly be able to afford a decent raider and wyvern army and any good AM user will beat you easily. If you go wyvern it has to be pure wyvern and with excellent timing, but that would be anti-expo, not anti-caster tech. Wyvern vs caster tech is pretty much suicide

Raiders are actually a great call with their bonus damage to casters, but I've always felt they were too difficult to tech for what they give. I prefer BM in orc vs human because he supports a fast tower rush well and is good at taking out key targets. FS is useless against priests and TC not much better.

i'm just a lowly 60%er at 200+ games
