I'm not really new to the game, I just haven't played in years.

Can anyone give me pointers, tips on how to do better in the game.

im good at dota, ladder (orc and n-e mostly) and some other costum such as bships (im in a bship clan)

Practice, play vs comp, single player, campaign etc.

Choose a race first which you like.
Download some replays from pro gamers.

Here some replay sites:

w3g.replays.net (Chinese Website but best replay site)
tft.replayers.com
wcreplays.com

You can PM me and i can recommend you some players for each race.

Play Single Player Mode and try the build order and strats you learned from these replays.

If you think your ready, go ladder.

Watch many replays and get some friends who play warcraft 3 too.

playing vs a computer will make you worse in the long run. They always go the same units, they're really slow with it, and they hero focus.
