So i installed wc3 recently and in the middle of the loading screen a error message comes up and closes wc3. Any1 know why this is happening?

and the error message would say?

Is it during a certain game?

bad install. uninstall it and reinstall. could be an issue with your hard drive, may want to run Disk Defragment and possibly ScanDisk. (that is if you are using XP...)

when you get fragmented spots on the hard drive it can sometimes make warcraft/applications run shitty or even have errors. reinstall the game.

EDIT: is this during installation? if so i think you have a bad CD, scratched or something, preventing it from completing the installation. if it happens AFTER, then your installation is bad, uninstall and reinstall. need more info.

Does it only happen when loading a custom game? (i.e. not ladder)

It used to happen to me for a while... No real solution existed, but it was fixed with an official patch

This is when i click Play WC3. Error comes up on loading screen.

make sure your sound/video card are supported by it.

i think you and i had the same problem.
mine crashed right when i booted it up in the middle of the little beginning video things.

if this is what you're encountering hit up the WC3 help and there's some registry files that you d/l to bypass all that shit
