I'm running wc3 on my wind xp core 2 dual toshiba laptop
with 1g ram, 256mb internal memory 15'
Whenever I play any wc games, there are some minor spikes, for example, if u click + hold on ur hero picture, it'll automatically chase the hero
and while it's moving, I can see that there are minor "pauses" that happen
this also happened to my friend's 64bit window vista 4g core 2 laptop 14'

wondering if there is a solution to fix this problem
willing to pay fg for the right solution

lmk, thx.

lot of good input here, this guy knows his stuff......

anyways, what are your graphics settings set to in warcraft, as well as windows? try setting your windows settings optimized for performance and not for "pretty" (Start - Control Panel - System - Advanced Tab - Performance - Adjust for Best Performance)

that will help reduce the flickering, also what resolution are you running warcraft in? FG gladly accepted. rolleyes.gif

what fps do you normally get? (check with /fps in game)
and does this happen when you play other video games?

running at 1024x768 on both wc and desktop
I tried "adjust for the best performance" but this flickering is still happening
fg is not a problem, but I need to get this issue fixed

This also happen in single player, so I don't think fps matter (cuz fps checks ur frame/sec if ur online)?
I tried typing the command in single but it doesn't work >.<

i think its cause you are running vista with only 1gb ram. Vista takes up so much memory imo, and should run with at least 2 gb ram.

Turn down the resolution. That may help with minor lag spikes. Also turn off shadows and such. Try that and get back to me.

This. Turning down the resolution would put less stress on your video card, making the streamless playable setting.
