i am totally amused by waw's arguments at why sniper > all. I'd say he's roughly 15th at 1v1's. in 5v5 teamfight usefulness as a dps hero, probably upto about 6th.

Also the main problem, is who initiates on who? sniper can't initiate at all without lothars.
Take void for a different example, can use time walk to get close get a few hits then go ulti, if void was initiated on, lets say a lothars sniper, sniper would get 3-4 hits, then void would timewalk then ulti sniper and probably kill him. In one case sniper would have got ~4 hits off, in the other he gets none.

How can you even believe that "nothing will make mort a better dps than sniper". MKB is a total waste for sniper as he already has a bash, for mort in this situation it's very useful. lets suggest heroes have manta, as really, no other item except divine gets close in increasing dps to the same level as two illusions dealing 30% with full items.
If both mort and sniper had exactly the same items, (presuming they're decent). If sniper uses BKB before mort uses blink strike, then she will run until it's over then initiate.
I suspect you will ignore me as pub players do, and make some arguement like "you can't say she runs away, she has to run at sniper and get hit 1000 times and die".

I can't see any 5v5 situation whatsoever, where you would prefer a fully itemmed sniper over a full itemmed void.

The problem is, gathering farm for the "full items", void will have great difficulty, as he is melee and near the beginning is not going to be allowed near creeps, ganked fairly often and have some form of counter pick against him. Sniper is easier to farm, but lacks an escape, will still farm better than void though. Morphling has two escapes, not bad range and can get insane hp if ganked so will farm exceedingly easily.

Be more precise, do you mean in 1v1 or 5v5? are we including how they will reach this farm? what defines who is initiating? if 5v5 what are the other heroes doing? you mentioned "something" about cooldowns/mana when you posted, but consider in a dota game at this stage, fights come "ROUGHLY" every 60-150 seconds by the time you have full items. void's ultimate has a ridiculously low cooldown considering how strong it is and will be up each fight.

Ive allrdy admitted i was wrong about my post cus of fast judgement because i just had a good sniper game before that post.
I still dont think mort beats 815 range as a overall dps'er, thats just out of the question.

And ofc im talking about 5v5.

Look at Void's skills and how they scale perfectly into lategame.

Time Walk - 12 second CD huge range blink that grants invulnerability, and slows where he lands

Backtrack - effective 25% reduction in damage

Time Lock - With enough attack speed a hero like Sniper won't be doing much.

Chronosphere - monster AOE 5 second stun

Void>Sniper as a carry without a doubt, i know that.
but void is also imba lame.

no idea why he aint get nerfed.

bash + backtrack should both be scaled down to 15%

Well to answer your question: "Ultimate Lategame Carry Hero?" it's Faceless Void.

Nope, the ultimate late game carry hero is corki.
10% true damage + massive aoe will melt their entire team at baron.

Nope, still void. Build a bridge and get over it.
