Actually, this sort of thing comes up in the guildwars section all the time (it is another team based game). It is a staple of a joke to be pro 1v1 . Sure, dota can be played 1v1, but that isn't what makes it Dota. It wasn't designed around 1v1, and, most importantly, isn't balanced for 1v1.

thats true, but what can show the best from 2 ppl?

a team game wont show who is better from the two. only a solo game can.

thats the same about normal wc3 players, a soloer with 60% win, but 40% win rt, because he gets mass shit teams.
you wont look at his rt, cuz its not him, its the team.


about the viper.

not anymore in 6.61 sniper can slow, so it can be pretty even.

actually i am that sniper... cause i love sniper... and at lvl 6 viper is gg

im sneaky i will just dmg him enought just enought so right when i hit lvl 6 i ult him boom xD

so im more on the deny, this is my strat, i can get like 15-30 at 15min instead of 30-15 so hes lvl 5 when im 6 maybe hes even 4 (i dont play em)

btw wow take even less skill and brain then wc3... wc3 ladder is really a good strategy game compared to WoW (i got lvl 80 mage on europe server i don just talkshit about wow witout knowledge wow is fun yeah, quest fun lvling fun gfx fun but dont say it takes skill... a pro player with t6 cant beat a medium player with full t8 or arena gear)

We aren't comparing individual skill in dota; we're comparing teams vs teams. If you want to ask, who is better at this hero, that is a fairer comparison, and you can judge by their performance then.

Sniper doesn't compare at all to viper in a lane. Viper is all lane dominance, sniper can't even touch him. A decent viper will have sniper running to the well and have several levels up on him constantly. It's what viper does, he's amazing lane control.

Also, anyone who challenges anyone to 1v1 in DotA simply does not understand the game. DotA heroes have different roles, and like I said in a previous post, each role requires a vastly different skill set. Being extraordinary at farming is ONLY important for one role. And even then, there's more to being a good farmer than being good at last hitting. Knowing where and when to farm, when to defend, when to gank, and again, its all relative to your players, your heroes, and many other variables at the time.

EDIT: 1v1 doesn't even show who's better at <insert> hero. All it shows is who is better at last hitting. If you play a 1v1 warlock v. warlock, what does that prove? Nothing.

but 1v1 not same hero is pretty stupid and not fair like said above, viper is known as a good solo hero.

but its possible to win viper with sniper, since sniper has bigger range, and can easily play defencive style+Creeping.
