Naix is not a carry. He's a counter carry.
DK is solid, but, again subject to getting smashed by naix.
Spectre took a gigantic nerf, while still a decent aoe supplement, she's hardly a carry anymore.
TB took gigantic nerfs, cast animation nearly doubled, movespeed is trash.
Visage is not a carry, he's a solution to an intense aoe build; especially ones organized around magnus.
Skeleton King is trash.
Luna got hurt pretty bad with the requirement of her lunar skill; with the addition of satanic no longer providing multiple leech instances she's pathetic.

The best carry in this version of dota is Lycan, but as said before, naix is his counter.
SA is probably the second best carry, but it's pretty easy to limit his farming and run invis hate.
Third best carry is Krob, she's strong in both a lane and a solo, has an amazing silence, and her ultimate is devastating throughout the game. While it's not a traditional carry, it's similar to BB, who used to be the best carry in the game.

The problem with carrying in today's meta, is the fact that the game is starting to revolve around ganking. Where as you could farm for quite a while, you no longer can, so limiting the opposing carry as best as you can is the way to win the game. Lycan has the best method of doing this, being able to move at max speed through slows. Riki, while less reliable, is effective against less experienced teams. And even experienced teams, you have cloud/blink/tp to get away.

My buddy puts bashers on TB and its gg. Average Rax in pubs...12-15 minutes.

Lycans pretty beast too.

Phanton Lancer is also pretty nifty too.

Strategically speaking, I know people who let PA ks everyone and get rich quickly.
A op enough PA will slay a whole group.
